WSET Level 1 Award in Sake, Saturday October 3, 2026, 9:30AM - 4:30PM

Location: Main room above the Wine House. There is free parking in the lot above the Wine House and across the street

Instructor: Toshio Ueno, the only person in the world to hold Master of Sake, Master Sake Sommelier, and WSET Sake Educator diploma, as well as a WSET Diploma. In 2016 he was awarded the industry’s most prestigious title Sake Samurai from Japan Sake & Shochu Makers Association.

Study materials will be available after Monday, September 28, 2026.

The class consists of 6 hours of instruction that concludes with a short 30-question multiple-choice exam of 45 minutes. Successful candidates receive the internationally-recognized WSET Level 1 Award in Sake. WSET Level 1 Award in Sake is strongly recommended for those who have little training in or knowledge of sake.

Students who pass the exam will receive a digital certificate for the internationally recognized WSET Level 1 Award in Wines and may pick up a lapel pin in the store upon receipt of the digital certificate

Exams are ordered from the WSET in London under the student’s name and no refunds can be made after a student’s exam has been ordered. No refunds after study materials are picked up by the student.
