Study materials available for pick up from The Wine House (2311 Cotner Ave, Los Angeles) as soon as you receive a confirmation email of your registration. It is advisable to pick up the materials and begin reading the textbook before the first class on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 Award in Wines course is intended as vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the drinks industry but who have little previous knowledge of the broad range of alcoholic beverages available. The qualification is suitable wherever a good level of product knowledge is required to underpin job skills and competencies. The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines course is also appropriate for those not employed in the drinks industry but who want a serious education in wine, and wish to broaden their knowledge in a structured way. Wine tasting is a part of every class. The WSET recommends that students complete at least 14 hours of personal study outside the classroom hours during their course of study. This course includes 3 days of instruction and enough time to allow students to prepare for the exam.

ABOUT THE WINE HOUSE WSET COURSES

The Wine House has been teaching WSET courses for 20 years – longer than anyone else in the greater Los Angeles area! Our instructor, Monica Marin, has been nominated for WSET Instructor of the Year and has been teaching at the Wine House for over 15 years. Monica teaches all levels, from the introductory WSET Level 1 to the expert-level WSET Level 4 Diploma. Our in-person courses offer the best wine tasting experience due to our access to the magnificent wine selection of domestic and international wines in our store. As a well-established wine education school based in Los Angeles, our staff takes care of our students from the moment they sign up until they successfully graduate. Due to the quality of our education, our WSET class pass rate is well above the national average. We also offer free parking in the lot above The Wine House as well as in a lot across the street from the store.

COURSE INCLUDES

Extended course over 6 weeks allows for plenty of study time compared to rushed intensive courses with less time to master content

All printed study materials available for pick up as soon as registration is complete

Three days of in-person instruction, tasting of 40 wines with sanitized glassware provided

Exam fee and exam after the final class on Saturday, October 10, 2026

Students who pass the exam will receive a digital certificate and may pick up a lapel pin in the store upon receipt of the digital certificate

CANCELLATIONS: Students may cancel until Wednesday, September 9, 2026. No refunds after course materials are picked up. Individual class or exam dates are not transferable to another course offering or to another person. This class must reach a minimum number of enrollees to proceed.
