Product Description

Old World traditions meet New World winemaking at our Spanish Wine Fest!

Treat yourself to over 50 wines from one of the most diverse and fascinating wine regions of the world! Spain is ranked #3 in wine production, and has more land under vine than any other country in the world. Occupying most of the Iberian Peninsula, Spain’s vineyards range from the cool, green Galician coastline in the northwest, to the arid Central Meseta, to the black slate hills overlooking the Mediterranean coastline in the northeast. Spain offers a wealth of cultural, culinary and wine styles, and Spanish wines offer consumers some of the greatest values at every price point. Sample exciting and dynamic reds, whites, and rosés in a diverse range of styles, from traditional to modern, from bone dry to dessert sweet.

White wines poured will include Albariño from Rias Baixas, Verdejo from Rueda, and Macabeo (aka Viura) from Rioja. Reds will include traditional Garnachas and Tempranillos from Rioja, including high-end Gran Reserva Riojas, as well as less traditional versions blended with international varieties from Ribera del Duero and Priorat. In addition, there will be lighter-bodied Mencias from Bierzo, fuller-bodied Monastrells (Mourvèdre) from Yecla and Jumilla, and lovely rosés of Garnacha from Navarra. A sweet wine from Malaga will round out the offerings.

Over a decade ago, Robert Parker wrote that Spain “is emerging as a leader in wine quality and creativity, combining the finest characteristics of tradition with a modern and progressive winemaking philosophy.” Join us to experience the quality and value of Spanish wines!

Wines will be paired with paella and other Spanish tapas from Chef Maiki Le.
