Shipping & Returns


General Information
The Wine House prices do not include shipping, handling, insurance, foreign duties or sales tax (where applicable). Our products are packed in UPS-approved shippers with protective Styrofoam inserts. Street addresses and phone numbers are required for all shipments. In the United States, an adult over the age of 21 must be present to sign for the shipment. We cannot deliver to Post Office boxes.

We will email you when we’ve received your order. We will update you when we’ve processed your order and again when it ships.

Important: We do not ship to the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Domestic Shipping
The Wine House ships primarily via Ground service using UPS or FedEx. Estimated delivery time is 3 to 10 business days depending upon the distance from our store in Los Angeles to the destination.

We offer Next Day and 2-Day options for most shipments (Alaska and Hawaii are 2-Day only). Our cut-off for same-day shipment is 11 a.m. PST. Orders received after 11 a.m. might not ship on the same day. Note that to avoid having wine sit in the carrier’s warehouse over the weekend, we normally don’t ship on Thursday/Friday for 2-Day or Friday for Next Day. If you want your order to go out on those days, please let us know in the Special Instructions box.

IMPORTANT! Our carriers do their best to provide Next Day and 2-Day service; however, heavy package volume, staffing shortages due to the Covid-19 pandemic, weather and other service disruptions all mean that we CANNOT GUARANTEE delivery the next day or within two days.

Our carriers do not normally deliver on Saturdays. If you need Saturday delivery (for an extra charge), please contact us at [email protected] or (310) 479-3731 for further information.

Shipping costs vary widely based on the number of bottles shipped, the distance from our store in Los Angeles to the destination, and the type of service selected. It is most economical to ship 6 or 12 bottles at a time. Prior to finalizing and submitting your order to us, you can adjust your order to see different shipping costs by varying the quantity of wine in the Shopping Cart or by selecting a different Shipping Method (Ground, 2-Day, Next Day) on the Checkout page.

Local Messenger Service
Packages to the general Los Angeles area can be delivered via messenger Monday – Friday. If a messenger rate does not appear for the zip code you entered, please contact us at [email protected] or (310) 479-3731 for applicable rates. Beer and spirits may only be delivered to local addresses by messenger.

Special Local Delivery
Special Local Delivery is available for $15.00/case (or portion thereof) for orders of $250 or more to addresses within 10 driving miles from our West LA location. Special Local Deliveries are made the same or next day (delivered Monday – Friday) depending on the time the order was placed and the complexity of the order. Existing orders that are “Ready For Pickup” (in-store at the Order Desk or for curbside pickup) can be consolidated with a new order, and the value of those orders will count towards the $250 purchase for the $15/case rate. If you have orders to consolidate, or if the Special Local Delivery option isn’t displaying correctly, please let us know in the Special Instructions box on the Checkout page. As appropriate, we will manually adjust the Special Local Delivery charge to $15.00/case.

International Shipping
The Wine House ships international packages via FedEx. Please note that our shipping cost includes a protective shipping box, insurance and carrier charges to the destination. It does NOT include any taxes or duties that may be assessed by and payable to the local authorities at the destination or any additional fees that may be charged by FedEx for the administration of taxes and duties.


IMPORTANT: We allow products to be returned only if the product is defective. Returns of alcohol products are for store credit only. There are no cash, check or credit card refunds for alcohol under any circumstances.

For products that have not been picked up (e.g., futures or products still in will call) there will be a 10% restocking fee for all refunds.
